The three mints were Philadelphia Mint, San Francisco Mint, and West Point Mint. Bullion Silver Eagle coins bear no mintmarks. Proof American Silver Eagle coins are minted at San Francisco bearing the “S” mintmark while those which are minted at Philadelphia bear the “P” mintmark. The mintmarks are S, P, and W. The uncirculated version released on 2006 onwards bear the “W” mintmark but if the uncirculated coins were released earlier they bear an “s” mintmark.
